Dreaming To Be Drunk

February 4th, 2008

While some men have trouble cutting off the habit of beer drinking and smoking, my problem is that I can’t seem to make engage in such. You may think that it is weird but I actually have this dream to experience throwing up due to drunkenness. Just for once that is. You may pity me or be happy for me because of this but I really think I am not built to be a drunkard.

I easily get full with a bottle of beer and my stomach then refuse to have more of it. Add the fact that I don’t seem to enjoy the taste of malt. Gin is definitely not an option as a quarter of a glass of it send my heart palpitating that makes it harder to breathe.

However, when I heard about the rise of San Diego microbreweries, which produces various strength, aroma, mouth feel, and flavor, I thought that there could actually be a drink that is a perfect match for me.

In Nederland

February 4th, 2008

In a place where people can become pretentious like the internet, to gain friends with whom one’s friendship deepens over time can be truly considered as a blessing. I can say that I have made quite a few good number of them. In fact, one of them even introduced me to the world of blogging. She even guided me through setting up my very own Blogger template which turned out to be a source of nosebleed for me three years ago. Yup! I started blogging way back in 2004 and I have been blogging ever since. Blame Ate Thess for that.

Not Knowing What Hits You

February 4th, 2008

One of the many misfortunes I have run into as a child, there were a number of incident that I could say are indeed unforgettable.

There was this incident that I was running as fast as I could in order to avoid being the “it” in a game of tag. In order to lose the one running after me, I decided to out maneuver my playmate by running through some obstacles. Sadly, I failed to notice that there was a wood beam crossing between the posts I decided to run in between. Bam! It hit me right in to my nose. It was so painful and swollen that I thought I’ll need a nose job in Baltimore to fix any broken cartilage.

I went home to my aunt and she immediately applied a cold compress to ease down the swollenness. She asked me what the hell happened but I couldn’t actually explain the incident clearly. I don’t know what exactly hit me.

Let Your Beauty Shine

February 4th, 2008

Beauty products in the Philippines often sports with models with flawless and vibrant looking skin. This television culture has set a new standard of beauty especially for women. Rosy white skin, as one product have coined, is a characteristic of a healthy and young looking skin.

However, people like Princess Diana have proven that the old saying “beauty is only skin deep” still holds true. For her good heart have managed to outshine a skin condition often referred to by the Irish as “the curse of the Celts” – rosacea.

Rosacea is a skin condition that is estimated to affect around 45 million people around the world. Mostly affecting white-skinned people of North Western European descent, rosacea has been identified to have four subtypes which have a varying effect. Though it could appear on both sexes, women have three times the chance of getting it compared with men.

Despite the availability of rosacea products, treatment is long term lasting for about 1 to 2 years.

Charmed And Kicking

February 4th, 2008

I have always watched the television show entitled, “Charmed” created by Constance Burge. It became an instant favorite for me since I love shows involving magic plus the fact that Phoebe is so gorgeous. That is why I was saddened when season seven ended with the sisters faking their own deaths by a disguise that not even plastic surgeons in Chicago can perform – a total magical surgery.

That was the last episode I managed to watched and didn’t really knew if the producers of the show will be following it up with a season 8. It was only lately that I learned, after more than two years since it was aired, that the story of the Haliwells did indeed continued airing. Now, I’m planning to go to a season marathon in order to catch up with the time I’ve lost.

Sadly, I see no need to hurry since I can’t find a season 9 episode lists anywhere. Looks like I didn’t missed a lot after all.

Armageddon

February 4th, 2008

Images also include Apocalypse, Flood, Natural Disaster, Tornado.
The radical annihilation of the world is a theme that seems to recur in many of the world’s cultures, cults, and religions. Sometimes there is a subsequent reordering and renewal of the world that includes a particular group being placed in supremacy. Other times, there is a mystical translation of chosen inhabitants into a structured paradise. Another option is unrelenting chaos and loss of this world without recourse.

Sometimes, the premonition feeling that you get after these dreams leaves you feeling very eerie. You may be unsure (or fairly sure) that what just happened in dreamland may be about to happen out in waking life. The means may be different for any given dreamer depending on your worldview, but the feeling is roughly the same-that time seems short for this world.
