Forever Young?

Monday, February 4th, 2008

The fountain of youth is a legendary spring that is said to restore the youth of anyone who drinks from it. Youth and immortality seem to be man’s consistent theme in stories like the philosopher’s stone, universal panaceas, and the elixir of life.

The pursuit now continues even beyond stories and myths. Science has devised a lot of way in order to obtain their own version of legend no matter how elementary they compare. Now, the fountain of youth is no longer drunk but is injected.

Naples botox injections use a small quantity of highly refined botulinum toxin to weaken the muscles that causes wrinkles by injecting it beneath the skin. The procedure is available for men and women who desires to improve their crow’s feet and wrinkles in the forehead and in between the eyes. In addition, botox are also known to be effective in the treatment of migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the eyes and neck.

Dreaming To Be Drunk

Monday, February 4th, 2008

While some men have trouble cutting off the habit of beer drinking and smoking, my problem is that I can’t seem to make engage in such. You may think that it is weird but I actually have this dream to experience throwing up due to drunkenness. Just for once that is. You may pity me or be happy for me because of this but I really think I am not built to be a drunkard.

I easily get full with a bottle of beer and my stomach then refuse to have more of it. Add the fact that I don’t seem to enjoy the taste of malt. Gin is definitely not an option as a quarter of a glass of it send my heart palpitating that makes it harder to breathe.

However, when I heard about the rise of San Diego microbreweries, which produces various strength, aroma, mouth feel, and flavor, I thought that there could actually be a drink that is a perfect match for me.

Not Knowing What Hits You

Monday, February 4th, 2008

One of the many misfortunes I have run into as a child, there were a number of incident that I could say are indeed unforgettable.

There was this incident that I was running as fast as I could in order to avoid being the “it” in a game of tag. In order to lose the one running after me, I decided to out maneuver my playmate by running through some obstacles. Sadly, I failed to notice that there was a wood beam crossing between the posts I decided to run in between. Bam! It hit me right in to my nose. It was so painful and swollen that I thought I’ll need a nose job in Baltimore to fix any broken cartilage.

I went home to my aunt and she immediately applied a cold compress to ease down the swollenness. She asked me what the hell happened but I couldn’t actually explain the incident clearly. I don’t know what exactly hit me.

Pay Right, Learn Right

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

Just where do our taxes go? With the amount that our government is taking from us in order to run the country, can we see a clear proof that our money was put into good use? I guess we all have the right to know since every centavo that they are spending came from our own sweat and blood. Those who run the government are accountable to those who fund it.

That is why the working class should be knowledgeable about the tax law that is implemented in their state or country. This is to ensure that we are collected the right amount as declared by law. Know the exemptions that apply to you. If you have trouble understanding some items, make sure to find the right people or firm that can bring light to your confusion.

The key in paying right is learning what is right. If you are residing in San Diego, learn the San Diego tax law. Unless you reside in Brunei, then you have neither tax nor tax law to worry about.

Ten To Go!

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

It’s ten days before Christmas. I do hope by now you have already completed your Christmas shopping list. As for me, I’m half way through. :D
I’ll probably be completing it by Wednesday. Tomorrow, I do plan of setting up a corner table and place all the gifts I myself have wrapped up. Too bad though that I’ll only be seeing them only for ten days. Next year, I’ll do my Christmas shopping earlier so that I may feast my eyes of a bunch of presents.

May all of you enjoy the coming Christmas and be safe always!

When I Go Body Art

Friday, December 14th, 2007

I became interested in tattoos after watching an anime series where in the hero has Japanese characters representing the name of the dragon he had managed to master. Since then, I thought having tattoo with Japanese character seems cool. I did plan of wearing one on my left arm but with some company turning down applicant with body art, I decided to dump the idea or at least delay it for a while.

I guess ones choice of tattoo symbol can speak a lot about a person’s character. Surely, we tend to be inclined to things we are interested in. On my part, I want to go tribal or probably Oriental. Somehow, this symbol often challenges the common notion of people that only brawlers wear inks.

Probably next time I hit the beach, I’ll temporarily settle for henna tattoos just to have the feel of it. A hopefully, in the near future, wearing one will not become a big issue.
